Alon Davidi
Alon Davidi was born and raised in the Negev, becoming a much respected educator and serving in several national advisory roles, including that of advisor to the Minister of Housing. With a young family to raise, he moved back to the Negev and settled in Sderot, soon becoming a member of the municipal council. In 2013 he was elected mayor, and reelected in 2018. So far under his watch, five new neighborhoods have been built and Sderot, despite being the target of rocket fire, has achieved financial stability.
