With the number of people killed or missing still rising, and large parts of the city still under siege, we are here to help the Sderot community survive the war and overcome the trauma.

The Need
In Sderot, almost 30,000 Israelis are the target of rockets, mortars and incendiary devices launched at them from the Gaza strip. When a siren sounds, there are just 15 seconds to find shelter. The barrage hasn’t stopped for over twenty years. Sderot is not only a community in Israel’s socio-economic periphery but one that is overwhelmed by continuous emotional trauma.

Our Response
The Sderot Foundation provides resources for a host of specially-designed initiatives, both programmatic and capital, that affect the lives of the people of Sderot. Serving a resilient community in Israel’s socio economic periphery, every project helps alleviate the day-to-day challenges they face and the long-term traumas they struggle with.
