Located less than a mile from Gaza, Sderot has been the target of rocket fire for two decades. The result: there is not a lot to life beyond keeping out of harm’s way. To counter the sense of collective trauma, we have been wielding informal education programs in a range of learning environments that help both children and adults explore possibilities for the future – both collectively and individually.

Bridge to Success

Bridge to Success

Educational gaps that are ignored in childhood simply grow and fester into adulthood. And if, into the bargain, your parents are too preoccupied with safeguarding you from rockets or your school hasn’t opened because it isn’t safe to attend, then a high schooler’s lack of readiness for adult life is sure to impact everything that follows.

Educational Farm

Educational Farm

Gardening is good for you. Nurturing plants helps to combat loneliness and stress. It brings people together. It produces not only vegetables but camaraderie and solidarity. So, on four-and-a-half acres on the edge of Sderot we are creating an educational farm.
