Almost every teenager in Sderot suffers from some form of PTSD as a result of having been the target of Hamas rockets their entire lives.

To prepare these teens for adult life – beginning with their military service – staff at our Resilience Center works with them to overcome fears and anxieties, and to ensure they feel able to cope with the challenges ahead.

Also, to maintain our city-wide preparedness for emergency situations during rocket attacks, our staff conducts workshops for municipality employees, nursing home staff and youth movement instructors, teaching them how to ease tensions and help terrified people to safety.

Each year we conduct six pre-army workshops, at a cost of $2,500 per workshop, and 15 staff emergency training workshops, at a cost of $3,000 per workshop.
