Located less than a mile from Gaza, Sderot has been the target of rocket fire for over a decade. The result: 90 percent of residents suffer from PTSD, including 70 percent of children. The Sderot Resilience Center is the city’s emotional emergency room – providing individual, family and group therapies to anyone who needs them. All programs are offered free of charge.

At out Resilience Center, staff takes advantage of schoool holidays to help children of all ages overcome rocket-induced traumas. Over the years, we have found that the most effective route to easing tensions is a week-long day camp during which we teach children how to create personal safe spaces and help them bolster their inner strenghts....
